I am a young, active, working, first-time mom who just does not have time to have Diabetes Type II.  My 1st encounter with Diabetes was having borderline Gestational Diabetes during my pregnancy which became more permanent when I was diagnosed with Diabetes II in October 2008.

I do not have time for this.  With Diabetes on the verge of reaching epidemic proportions and being diagnosed younger and younger, I know there are thousands (if not millions) more women just like me – young and active, with/without kids, with/without careers – that just simply do NOT have time for Diabetes II.

My passion/goal/objective/HOPE for this blog is that my dish on Diabetes II serves to empower, enable, sympathize, empathize, encourage, educate, support and motivate Busy Women With Diabetes Type II (BWWD2) to successfully manage their blood sugar with very little effort, if any!!

  1. Very cool site! I think I’ll send it on to my dad who needs some major help with his Type II Diabetes. He’s on all the meds, but not insulin yet, and tends to ignore his health in hopes all the bad stuff will go away – clearly that’s not working!! This might help him feel less alone, possibly more empowered, and my personal hope that a grandson on the way (his first living grandchild) might also be of some encouragment – I’d like to see him live long enough to enjoy several MORE grandkids!! -Adriane

  2. I love the site! It is such a great idea. Hope things are going well for you!

I would love to have you be a part of an amazing group I created on fitness SUPPORT site just for moms…you have such an awesome spirit, and it shows in your writing. I think you would be a great addition to the site, but more specifically, to the group I have recently created on the site, for Diabetic Moms and Moms At Risk for Developing Type 2 Diabetes!

Please feel free to check out the site, and if you are comfy with it, JOIN the site, and my group, as well!

Once you’ve joined, you can find my group here:

Look forward to seeing you there!
